I think I just had one of the best weekends I've had in the
longest time. And to add the cherry on top, it was a long weekend! :D
Alright, so it all started off with Valentine's Day. Now I'm just going to give you a brief overview of my feelings for the holiday. I love holidays. I like the idea of decorating and wearing certain colors to be festive. Yes, I think it's crap how that's the one day you're "supposed" to show your love for the people in your life. But I still enjoy it. Because it's a holiday. And I despise the people who hate it when they're single but love it when they have someone. Those people are bipolar. And are too easily swayed with their opinions about things.
/rant.
Now onto my weekend. I know you're just dying to know all about it.
Jen, Mia and I went to see
He's Just Not That Into You. I love ensemble movies and seeing how everyone is connected. And this movie was no exception.
I am in love with Ginnifer Goodwin, so I absolutely adored her as GiGi. And I forget the name of the guy who gave her advice (Jason Long - The Apple Guy), but I very much enjoyed him as well. I'm not sure they would have been able to carry the movie by themselves, but they were my favorite two characters in the whole movie. Of course the entire movie was very predictable, but honestly... What chick-flick isn't? I still loved it. And will most likely own it on DVD someday...
After the movie, the three of us went to Old Bay in New Brunswick. I've never been, but it's Mia's favorite bar in the history of the world because she's in love with one of the bartenders. I discovered my new favorite drink that I created by myself. And had lots of eyesex with the guitarist in the band that was playing. The drummer was also very amused by us as well.
That ends Saturday.
Sunday morning I dragged myself out of bed after only about 6 hours of sleep because I needed to get ready to stalk Connie (TikiTyler9). She was visiting friends up in Asbury and it really would have been a crime against nature if we didn't get together somehow. Meeting her was like a stalker's wet dream. Seriously. Haha.
I only got midly lost on the way there. The very nice man at the Inn told me that the road I was looking for was literally right in front of my face. Then of course Connie gave me the wrong house number (which I passed anyway cause some Asbury native was riding my ass). But eventually we wound up in each other's arms.
Can I just take a moment to discuss how insane it is that I went looking for someone I met on the internet? I mean really. You hear these horror stories all the time. You never really hear the good ones I don't think.
We went to lunch with her friend Becky, BESS, and Bess's friend (we'll call her blonde girl). Then Connie, Becky and I went to see
Taken.
I'm not gonna lie. I did not like this movie. The daughter was uber annoying and acted as if she was 9 years old instead of 17. And she wore ugly shoes with her dress. Haha. I am a fan of Liam, but I think he's far too old to play a role like this. He looked like he was drunk and needed to lie down every time he sucker punched someone in the throat (which was his signature move that never failed to make someone unconcious). My favorite part was when that guy got hit by the car though. "TEN POINTS!"
For some reason, the movie got us talking about which one of us would most likely survive a horror movie. Me. Of course.
I had dinner with Becky's family, and I love them. They were crazy. And that's exactly how it should be. Plus, that red velvet cake was ah-mazing. I should have stolen some.
I don't want to get all gushy, but I seriously had such a great time with Connie yesterday. I think we're very much alike in several ways, and it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who thinks the things I do sometimes. I already know that when she comes back up in the summer, that we're having another date. Stupid Alabama. I miss her already. Back to YT stalking I go.
Anyone who actually read all of that is either really bored or loves me a lot. Haha.
